1. Operator and agreement
This is ADE is the platform brand, currently operated by Academy of Design Excellence (Pvt) Ltd., registered in Sri Lanka, with registered address at 166/A, FIELD VIEW, BANGALAWATTA, HAPUGALA, WAKWELLA, Sri Lanka.
By creating an account, using ADE or purchasing an ADE service, you agree to these Terms and any product-specific terms shown before purchase. For services supplied by the current Sri Lankan operator, these Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, subject to any mandatory consumer or other rights that applicable law does not allow the parties to waive.
2. Your ADE account
You must provide accurate and current information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and use ADE only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly notify ADE of unauthorized access.
You must meet the minimum age or parental-consent requirements that apply where you live.
3. ADE provides digital services
ADE primarily provides digital services, including online learning, assessments, credentials, professional profiles, digital productivity tools, subscriptions, business workspaces, campaign lead management and opportunity-related features. Unless a specific offer expressly states otherwise, purchases made through ADE do not involve physical goods, physical shipping or physical returns.
4. Pricing, orders and payments
Prices, billing intervals, currencies, taxes and transaction-specific charges collected by ADE will be shown before you confirm a purchase. Current individual ADE membership prices are denominated in USD. Your bank or card issuer may apply separate foreign-exchange or cross-border charges that are not collected by ADE.
Payments made directly through ADE are processed through Stripe. By submitting a payment, you authorize the applicable charge shown at checkout. ADE does not intend to store your full payment-card details. We may refuse, cancel, reverse or review a transaction where reasonably necessary because of pricing or technical errors, suspected fraud, duplicate payments, payment failure or legal requirements.
5. Digital delivery and access
For paid digital services, access is normally activated after ADE receives successful payment confirmation from the payment provider. Where activation is automated, access may be available within a few minutes. Provider delays, fraud review or technical issues may take longer.
If a successful payment has completed but the purchased access is unavailable, contact payments@thisisade.com so ADE can investigate and restore access or provide an appropriate remedy.
6. Subscriptions and renewals
Paid subscription plans may renew automatically at the billing interval shown at checkout until canceled. Where recurring billing is enabled, you authorize the payment provider to charge the applicable renewal amount. You may cancel future renewal using the billing controls made available to your account or by contacting ADE where those controls are unavailable.
Canceling a subscription normally stops the next renewal while allowing access through the already-paid billing period, unless applicable law or transaction-specific terms require otherwise.
7. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by ADE's Refund Policy. That policy explains request windows, eligibility, access treatment, partial refunds, credit notes, processing times and subscription renewals.
8. Learning, assessments and credentials
Course access, lesson progression, assessments, grading and credentials are governed by the requirements published for each learning product. Results are based on the learner's submitted work and the applicable assessment rules. Credentials may be corrected, replaced, suspended or revoked where there is error, fraud, academic misconduct, misuse or another legitimate reason recorded by ADE.
9. Professional profiles, projects and user content
You remain responsible for content you submit to ADE and must have the rights needed to upload or publish it. By publishing content through an ADE feature, you grant ADE the limited permissions reasonably necessary to host, display, format, process and distribute that content through the features you selected.
10. Opportunities, organizations and Professional Services
ADE can connect professionals, learners and organizations, but ADE is not automatically the employer, recruiter, client, contractor or guarantor of third-party opportunities or service relationships. Employers, applicants, buyers, providers and organizations remain responsible for their own representations, screening, agreements and legal obligations.
ADE currently provides non-financial Professional Services workflow features such as service listings, requests, work orders, milestone delivery/review and completion tracking. Unless a future ADE checkout expressly states otherwise, ADE does not currently provide escrow, provider payout protection or a financial guarantee for those Professional Services transactions.
11. ADE Earn and referrals
Referral links do not guarantee commission payment. Eligibility depends on valid attribution, an eligible conversion, the commission rule active at the relevant time, any approval or hold period, and fraud or self-referral checks. Refunds, reversals or chargebacks may reduce or reverse related commissions.
12. Acceptable use
You must not use ADE to commit fraud, impersonate another person, manipulate assessments or credentials, scrape protected information, bypass access controls, distribute malware, harass others, publish unlawful or infringing content, abuse referral systems or interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
13. Intellectual property
ADE's platform design, software, brand, logos, original course materials and other ADE-owned content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except where ADE expressly permits it, you may not reproduce, resell, distribute or commercially exploit ADE-owned materials without authorization.
14. Third-party services
ADE relies on third-party infrastructure and services, including hosting, authentication, payment, analytics, email and communication providers. Their own terms may apply when you interact directly with their components or services. ADE is not responsible for a third party's independent service outside ADE's reasonable control, but this clause does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Availability, changes and liability
ADE is an evolving digital service. We work to keep it accurate and available, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. Features, course catalogs, plan entitlements, integrations and referral programs may change. Where a change materially affects a paid commitment, ADE will apply the notice and consumer protections required by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ADE is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from third-party opportunities, third-party services, user-generated content or events outside ADE's reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Suspension and termination
ADE may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse, non-payment or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using ADE at any time, subject to subscription cancellation terms and records ADE must retain.
17. Complaints, disputes and redress
Please contact ADE first so we can investigate a complaint. Account and service matters can be sent to support@thisisade.com; billing and refund matters can be sent to payments@thisisade.com.
Nothing in these Terms prevents an eligible consumer from seeking redress from the Consumer Affairs Authority of Sri Lanka, a court, regulator or other dispute-resolution body with jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as ADE, our legal entity or applicable requirements evolve. The current version will be published here with its revision date. Material changes to an existing paid commitment will be handled subject to applicable law.
